There is no account, no name and no email unless you choose to send yourself a copy of your board. What you tell the tool (your discipline, where things stand, your region and care setting), your card placements and ratings, and the questions you type shape the guidance you get. Questions are sent to an AI service to generate grounded answers.

Your answers sit together under a session number, so you can close the app and pick it up again, on this device or another, via a resume link. These things can identify you: your resume link opens your session for anyone who has it, so keep it private; the organisation you name is stored as you typed it — a large, common name tells us nothing, a small or distinctive one can identify you; and anything you write in your own words can identify you the same way it would in an email.

We keep your session so you can come back and pick up where you left off. Your session holds what you typed and placed, and a session number that identifies it. Your resume link opens it. We keep it until you ask us to delete it. You can ask at any time: write to daniel@interalign.org with your resume link, and we will delete your session.

If you are one of a small number of people invited to test this, your board can be guessed at from timing alone — that risk disappears once many people are using the tool. The other three do not.

A session cookie keeps your place while you use the tool. There are no advertising trackers. If you accept, Google Analytics counts visits and which pages are used, and sets its own cookies to do so; if you decline, nothing from Google loads. Only page visits are counted: what you type into the tool is never sent to Google. You can change your choice at any time from the footer. The tool also gives your browser a random signed identifier in a cookie — used to apply fair-use limits, and to recognise you if you reopen a link you shared, so it is not miscounted as someone else arriving — and when no cookie arrives, it falls back to a one-way anonymised code derived from your connection. Both work like a turnstile count: they say “same visitor”, never who, and cannot be turned back into you.

The tool also has a small feedback box. If you leave a thought or answer its three rating questions, exactly what you typed and chose is kept — along with which screen you were on, and with nothing that identifies you, not even the turnstile count — read to improve the tool, and deleted within a year. Leave personal details out of it; if some slip in and you want them removed sooner, write to the address below.

During onboarding, you'll be asked what kind of organisation you work in — a hospital, a policy body, industry, and so on. It is entirely optional, skippable, and never shown back to you as a judgement. The tool also quietly notes which country you are connecting from (never your city or address), so we understand who the tool serves.

Before launch, the front page offered to email you when the tool opened. The wording beside the field is the whole deal: one email at launch, nothing more. Your address is delivered to InterAlign Organisation Ltd and used for that notice alone. To come off the list, write to daniel@interalign.org and your address is removed.

If you give an email address, we send you one email. It holds your board and the link back to your session.

If you do not tick “Contact me”, that is the only email we send. We delete your address from our own systems after we send it. Our email provider, Resend, keeps a copy of the email and a delivery log, which include your address, for up to 30 days.

If you tick “Contact me”, we keep your address. We use it only to contact you about your board, to ask your views on a new feature, to invite you to try something, or to ask you to help shape the tool. Every email has an unsubscribe link. When you use it, we delete your address.

Your address is never part of your session.

The research box works whether or not you give an email. If you tick it, your board and your own words can be used in published research. Nothing published will name you or your organisation.

The tool runs on a small set of services, each doing one job: Anthropic generates answers from the questions you type; Voyage AI turns text into search coordinates so the knowledge base can be searched; Neon hosts the database that stores sessions; Resend delivers email; Vercel hosts the app. Each receives only what its job requires.

Some of these services store or process data in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is covered by the provider's data-processing terms.

We do not yet keep a copy of your board after your session is deleted. Sessions are kept until you ask us to delete them (see above). We will tell you here before we start keeping copies.

Keeping your session and running the tool: our legitimate interest in operating the tool you are choosing to use. Sending your board by email: your request. The research box and the “Contact me” box: your consent. The launch email list: your consent when you submit the field.

The unsubscribe link in an email withdraws the “Contact me” box. To withdraw the research box, write to us. Withdrawing the research box stops any future use of your board in research. Published work cannot be recalled.

You can ask to see, correct or delete your session, or object to how we use it. Write to daniel@interalign.org and include your resume link, because without it we cannot find your session. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office, or to the data protection authority in the country where you live.
